The UNESCO sight-seeing trip to Kroměříž [ Trip ]

We invite you to Kroměříž, the town of lovely greenness and flower colours, called "The Athens of Haná" for the abundance of historical landmarks. The local dominating feature is the Chateau of Kroměříž, which is situated in the corner of the Velké náměstí square. Come with us and relax in the Chateau Garden with Imperial pavilions and Pompeye colonnade with antique statues. Let´s visit the famous Flower Garden dating from the 17th century which is an example of the work of Italian architects and drives the visitors to amazement thanks to its unique buildings and green adjustments.
Kroměříž was proclaimed the most beautiful historical town of the Czech Republic in 1997. The complex of historical gardens and the Archbishopric Chateau have been registered on the chart of the world cultural and natural heritage sites of the UNESCO. The town is a venue of annual music festivals, exhibitions, conferences of specialists and congresses.
How to get to Kroměříž:
By car: From the Sola Gratia boarding house go to the centre of the town on the Pod Platany street and follow the road no. 150, then the road no. 438 in the direction of Holešov, after three kilometres continue straight on (road no. 432). Change to the road no. 55 in the direction of Hulín and then no. 47 in the direction of Kroměříž. The length of the route is 25 kms and the journey takes 25 minutes.
Where you can park in Kroměříž: Velké náměstí square, Vejvanovského street, náměstí Míru square, Flower garden.
By bus - Bystřice pod Hostýnem is a road junction with 21 bus lines in service during working days with more than 100 bus connections. Buses depart from the bus terminal situated on Holešovská street every hour in both direction on working days. We recommend to use railway transport during weekends. The length of the route is about 27 kms a takes 45 minutes. The one-way ticket price is approximately CZK 25,-.
By train - Trains depart from Bystřice pod Hostýnem both on working days and weekends every hour in both directions. The length of the route is 26 km. The one-way ticket costs about CZK 40,-. The transfer takes about 40 minutes.
