OSTAFIX N
- cement for thin-film cementation -

OSTAFIX N is a single-component material of a pasty consistency, containing binding agents on the basis of aqueous acrylate dispersion, fine aggregates, pigments, dispersion and biocide agents and modifying additives.

Use: Cementing of ceramic facings and tiles, lower ceilings and panel boards, as well as moldings made of expanded polystyrene, wood, PVC and rubber carpeting, plaster castings and facings and similar materials. A suitable surface for cementing is sufficiently cohesive concrete and plaster, porous concrete, and especially sheet building materials, such as asbestos-cement, cement-flake boards, plasterboards, chipboards, formica boards (pre-fabricated sanitary units) and other building materials. OSTAFIX N can also be used for filling up rifts and cracks in base surface before painting.

The material has excellent cohesion with almost all building materials. It is made in white non-standardized tinge.

Surface preparation: Surface is to be cleaned from dust and other impurities. The suction surface is to be impregnated with PRIMER or other impregnant designated to be applied under dispersion systems. In case of cementing to older plasters, it is necessary to remove layers of old coatings, properly dust off the surface and impregnate with the primer. Firm and non-suction surface is to be perfectly cleaned, grease impurities removed, and then the surface does not have to be impregnated.

Paint application: OSTAFIX N is to be applied with a tooth spatula with a tooth height of 3 - 7 mm. The tooth height is to be determined based on the surface flatness and facing material format as follows: place the facing in a layer of cement and its separation needs to give a distinct print of the cement on the entire underside of the face brick. The cement is to be applied over such area that can be filled with the tiles within 10 minutes. Place the tile in the layer of glue and apply pressure or clap to fit it into the required position. Ceramic tiles are not to be wetted with water before applying the glue! In case of cementing polystyrene lower ceilings and facings, it is not necessary to apply the glue on the entire area, the cement is usually applied in spots or in bands on the edge and in the center of the tile. The temperature of air and surface for the application and paint drying should not fall below + 15 °C.

Consumption: 0,3 - 1,5 kg per square meter based on type and quality of the surface and used material.

Packaging and storing: Packaging in plastic packages with weight of 1,2 kg, 4,5 kg ,15 kg and in cartouches. Storage in original packages at the temperature ranging from +5 to +25 °C in places protected against direct effects of solar radiation and sudden temperature fluctuation. The storage life is 12 months after the production date.

Safety and hygiene: OSTAFIX N does not require a hazard warning label in accordance with EC Directives. Use personal protective equipment and follow the personal hygiene principles when working with the paint. When spraying the paint, use respiratory protection, ensure proper ventilation in closed working areas. In case of contact with eyes, rinse eyes properly with large volume of clean water and seek a medical treatment.
